I thought I'd just put that question out there since half the characters on soaps (specifically Days) are asking themselves that question these days. With the number of paternity tests that have been run on people in Salem this past year, they should build a drive-thru paternity lab. Just swab your cheek while in the comfort of your car and put the specimen in one of those bank drive-thru type things. Just hit the button and, ZOOM, off it goes to determine who is or is not your daddy! It sure would be a lot easier, don't you think? lol

Let's count how many paternity tests were done in 2002. These are just the "children" I'm listing. If I miss one, then please feel free to let me know:

JT
Isaac
Chloe
(If Greta had stuck around, then I'm sure she would've swabbed her cheek with the rest of 'em.)
Lexie's unborn baby
And let's not forget John, the poor guy. He went from a Brady to an Alamain to a DiMera, and now there's a chance he's actually a Brady after all. Oh, the irony! Yes, that's right, there is a rumor going around that Shawn Brady Sr. is actually John's biological father. Apparently he had an affair with Daphne DiMera many years ago, and now WE'RE having to deal with the consequences.

I tell you what, those writers certainly have a sense of humor, don't they? There is also a rumor going around that Shawn Brady Sr.'s secret will be revealed in the new year, and it will ROCK the entire Brady family. John being his son oughta shake 'em up pretty good, don't you think? lol Hmmm, could that be why Stefano hated the Bradys so much? Because the Irish patriarch satisfied Daphne better than the Phoenix? Sadly, that makes perfect sense and would explain SO, SOOOOOO much! So what would this mean exactly? Well, John will probably be able to get as much clam chowder as he wants. Not only is Tony his brother, but so is Roman, and he now has two beautiful sisters, Kimberly and Kayla. What would this mean for the rest of his family? Well, if Brady were to change his name, it would be Brady Victor Brady. Kind of repetitive, don't you think? lol And what about Belle, who is in love with her biological grandfather's step-grandson, who he treats as his very own? Can you say icky? Not only would John be Sami's stepfather, but also her uncle. I've never seen a family tree so warped in all my life!

There is also a rumor going around that the headwriters could be on their way out. At first I was shocked because they have done so much for Days in the past year, but if this storyline was their brilliant idea, then I say give 'em the axe and bring somebody in who will make all of this go away and who will ban paternity tests in the town of Salem, lol. ;-)

If Shawn Sr. is John's daddy, then we are in for one helluva year, and I don't necessarily mean that in a good way. Oh well, ready or not, here comes 2003!
