-He opens the door clipping a leash onto a dog. He slams the door shut and walks around to where you are standing.- Hello, Mike Myers, owner, trainer, and breeder of Chinooks. I have a bitch here that might catch your interest. Chyna is a 3 year old chinook, trained for sledding, but has a nice family pet attitude to her. She is awesome at sledding, and loves it. She is very willing to work, and has a lot of fun in it. She could be used as a breeder, we have already and got a quality litter from her. -looks at the dog and snaps his fingers-
-She stands still by her handler, her nose in the air, sniffing the new surroundings. She hears the snap and goes to a sit, nose still in the air-
She is trained with sound and movements, not so much voice commands. Snaping is sit, you have just seen how you listens to that. And patting the outside of your leg is come, and I have a whistle that she listens to. It has wide range, and I often take her on walks leash-less, and let her run up ahead. When I blow the whistle she always comes running, it hasn't failed yet. Lie down is a clucking sound, like you'd make to horses. Stay is simply a hand stuck out. That is how she is trained. -looks at the dog- Chyna -he clucks twice-
-At the sound of her name she looks up at Mike, then lowers herself to the ground, looking happily up at Van and Mike-
This is how all of our dogs are trained. no voice signals. Only noises, and hand stuff. Do you have any questions?
