I had my gallbladder out in sept of 2003 and i was working when the staff found me passed out on the floor in one of the offices the next day i only rembered what they told me thats how bad the pain was the doctor told me he thought it would be a good idea to have my gallbladder removed i lived with the pain for almost ten years trying to watch what i ate carefully and i had good times and bad i was very careful but it did not matter when they operated on me he found over two hundred stones in my bile he then told me he removed the gallbladder because of the amount of stones i had in the bile my gallbladder was fine but its been years and for four years i was fine no pain then one night guess what not as bad but pain in the same spot it comes and goes now some days i can eat low fat foods with no problems and the next look out i found out that antacids help calm the pain down if taken when you first experience the pain before it gets bad it takes about two to twenty five mins to calm down i lay on my right side and say it will go away to my self by then the antacids are starting to help when im okay i am tired and out of it for about one hour but i have to be honest even if this sounds untrue it is i have managed to find a way to help my self because doctors dont tell you that you can get the following problems and if you dont your lucky 1-acid reflux disease 2- diareaha from red meats 3- stress oh yes ive researched all of this big factor 4-foods even some low fat diets dont help you have to find out by making a list and watching what time you eat anything 5-other health related problems like high blood preasure and other problems 6- medications can cause pain my blood preasure medication had to be changed 7- bacteria in the stomach infection 8- ulcers can cause the same pain as a gallstone and there are probley more i havent researched yet if you are intrested in emailing me my email address is snowey2468@hotmail.com i understand how you feel ive been threw alot myself with tests and other doctors love to hear from you bye
