I have been looking for Edward Alfred Shewell also, I would be his granddaugher. He married my Grandma Alberta Vanderwerp Shewell on 10-28-2003. She was from Fremont, Michigan and the marriage was arranged by her mother, because Mr. Shewell was an alleged preacher. He had three children, Florence Lillian Shewell DOB January 28, 1906 in Muskegon, MI. She had two sons, My dad, Howard Vanderwerp Shewell born November 5, 1908, in Galesburg, MI; then Earl Vincent Shewell on September 10, 1910 in Comstock, MI. This fits into the disappearance of the date you said you lost track of him. My grandma did divorce him, and rumor has it he moved to Chicago, IL and remarried naming a daughter Alberta. I know he was in the Chicago area because my Aunt Florence performed on stage and meant him while she was there. My dad never talked about his father, I think he felt deserted. My grandmother subsequently moved back to Fremont, MI.
