Subject: Surnames connected to my TURK/BERGMAN family in NY, PA, Illinois, etc.

My g-grandparents are George Lyman Turk b. 1855 in Illinois and Rose E. Dutcher b. 1858 in NY.

I've connected my George Lyman Turk to the Turk/Chamberlain family from NY State and Illinois. But still looking for some of his children and their spouses.

However, my g-grandmother, Rose E. Dutcher and her father, James Dutcher have remained very elusive characters. I have Rose's death certificate and it names James Dutcher as her father and unknown as her mother.

I have obits on both George Lyman Turk and Rose E. Dutcher Turk...George died in 1932 & Rose died in 1940; both are buried in the Chenango Valley Cemetery, Hillcrest, Broome County, NY. Also buried in their plot is Otis Turk b. 1893 died in 1931 at age 38...it's believed he is a son of George and Rose Turk's.

Richard Kimball Bergman, b. about 1874 in NY, died in 1951 at age 77; Myrtle May Blosssom (his wife) b. about 1879 in PA and died 1943 at age 64. Both are my g-grandparents. In the 1910 census they lived in Susquehanna County, PA with their chidlren. They later moved to Binghamton, NY and are buried in the Chenango Valley Cemetery, Hillcrest, Broome County, NY.

The surnames connected to both the TURK and BERGMAN family's are: NATHANS, CHASE, STANKUS, STANKEVICZE, SLATER, COURTRIGHT, SWAYZE, STROPE, JOINES, SCOTT (from Roxbury, NY), BLOSSOM, DUTCHER, TIBBITS, VANDERSON, WHITNEY, LUVUOLO, SCHMALTZ, UPDYKE, GOW, MUSKA, HOWE, TUTSKY and many more.

Help???
