Earth males will have a dating problem in this new century... Same one they had in the last and all preceding centuries...

Tears in twilight trickling,
Tender liquid trails,
Tiny saline streamers,
As her marriage fails.
Tears run down her fingers,
Tears slide down her cheeks,
She's been crying often,
Twice a night for weeks.
She's so full of goodness,
But he's good as well,
At least if he were spiteful,
She wouldn't feel this hell.
A quiet resignation,
Is all he will convey,
"I've simply fallen out of love"
Is all that he will say.
She wants to find a brick wall,
To knock her head against,
She wants to tap her anger,
She should be more incensed.
But angry feelings fail her,
And sadness floods her heart,
Wondering how she failed him,
And why they fell apart.
He moves to Atlanta,
She stays in L.A.,
His new job is booming,
She is in decay.
Twenty months of loneliness,
Her life takes many twists,
Paramedics find her with,
Deep slashes 'cross her wrists.
Tonight he drinks to progress,
He's smug and satisfied,
He dosen't have a clue about,
This evening's suicide.
The next day during meetings,
His cell phone tells the news,
His mind is quick to conjur,
A shallow false excuse.
"You know it's simply Darwin,
The strongest will survive,
It's not MY fault she couldn't cope,
She should be still alive."
Brick by brick he builds a wall,
His temper's quick to strike,
Now his new girl gets the boot,
He tells her "TAKE A HIKE!!!"
On and on he leads a life,
Contentment he can't find,
Too timid in his tiny heart,
To sway his tiny mind.
