Remind others to Remember

Do you remember when the sky broke apart
And seared our amber waves and haunted our hearts
Do you remember the steel and the flames
And those metallic birds with angels in their wings?
Do you remember?

Haunted. That�s the words that says it best.
Neighbors gone without us, faith put through its test
Do you remember the faces on that wall
Laminated in tears - God, help us when we fall�
Do you remember?

Chaos beneath the choking wall of smoke
Some glued to their television, all fear did invoke
Some found their religion, others found their lives
Some found only cemeteries in a portrait�s eyes�
Do you remember?

Time has passed and seasons have changed the horizon
War erupting in Iraq now after we went to Afghanistan
Bin Laden, Saddam� The gloves still on their fist
That gave us the black eye and created a terror alert list�
Do you remember?

Do you remember?
Have you forgotten?

Crash� as those two towers fell
Have you forgotten those in that inferno hell?
Crash� the pentagon does shake
Have you forgotten those when the limestone did break?
Crash� a field is shocked through its grassy skin
Have you forgotten those heroes who did win
Against future terror and lives they did save�
Do you remember? Does your flag still wave?

NineEleven, one word now is the best we can say
To immortalize and familiarize to future generations
What did happen that warm, cloudless summer day.
