Little Tommy so liked to toddle and talk,
Early words, so cute, sound so much like a squawk.
But what drove mommy so batty, I tell you no lie...
Is her Tommy always spouting, his "Why?, Why?, Why?"
"Our grass is so green", Tommy shouts with a cry,
"Mommy, who picked that color?, Do tell me WHY!"
With a fistful of dirt, he snatches a worm,
No feet?, No head?, His "why" made mom squirm!
Meeooowww, screamed his cat, picked up by a tail,
Tommy wanted "cat-words", instead, got a wail!
"Why, mommy, are cats, oh so quick and so clever,
But to get them to talk, would take me FOREVER!"
Over and over, the "why's" flew at mom,
Now came to her mind an answer for Tom...
Her little one needed to know just ONE thing,
For answers that mommy could no longer bring...
She told little Tommy, with eyes filled with love,
Your answers will come from our Father above.
With love and compassion, He made all things here,
Let's both trust His wisdom, my Tommy, my dear.
