He snorted softly, lobes fall 'pon their polls & stained enamels chomp bitterly through the weightless air...rolling whites give warning to this other younger one. He was quite close enough! Stamping a fore smartly, he assures him that it would be in his best interest to remain at a distance. Could this other male not know that it was not the size of the harem...but, the members within it? He had a wonderous family - of which he wouldn't take back for the world! Besides, if you were completely confident in yourself & your ability to assure your harem's strivement...that's what made you, yourself, powerful! It wasn't the amount of mares you had...but, merely how well you handled it & caused it's survival! A harlem was a life-long bond...surely, could he not see this? You could not beckon mare's to your herd with a simple whistle! A trust was first to be gained & then, possibly with time, their love & loyalty would follow. All good things took time! He returned his attention then to Anaconda ; if she really wished to return to another's harem & not his own because of its size, he would believe her to be shallow! However, if she believe she would enjoy what another offered more...he would remain accepting & allow her to do as she pleased. He was not confining or overly-determined. A mare was a soul in itself & deserved to be given her own choice - to choose her own fate, her own destination, her own happiness... �
