Ex-UN-Generalsekretär Kofi Annan fordert Legalisierung weicher Drogen

Der ehemalige UN-Generalsekretär Kofi Annan tritt für die Legalisierung des Konsums und Besitzes weicher Drogen ein. „Wir müssen unsere bisherige Drogenpolitik kritisch hinterfragen“, sagte Annan im Interview der „Welt“. „Der Krieg gegen Drogen hat nur den Drogenhändlern die Möglichkeit gegeben, sehr viel Geld zu verdienen. Gleichzeitig hat er das Leben vieler junger Menschen in Amerika, Afrika und andernorts zerstört, die verhaftet wurden, weil sie ein halbes Gramm irgendeiner Substanz bei sich hatten“, so Annan.
