Nach Angaben der US-Küstenwache fing der Absaug-Trichter
über dem defekten Bohrloch während der ersten 24 Stunden
rund eine Million Liter Öl auf, sechsmal soviel wie erwartet.
Schätzungen der US-Regierung zufolge fließen täglich zwischen
zwei und vier Millionen Liter Öl ins Meer.
