Bei den Firmen handelt es sich dem Bundeskartellamt zufolge
um Rodenstock, Carl Zeiss Vision, Essilor, Rupp und Hubrach
Optik und Hoya Lens Deutschland. Die Unternehmen hätten sich
seit 2000 regelmäßig getroffen, um ihr Wettbewerbsverhalten
miteinander abzustimmen. "Die Absprachen der
Brillenglashersteller haben den Wettbewerb in diesem Markt
über Jahre fast vollständig zum Erliegen gebracht", sagte
Kartellamtspräsident Andreas Mundt.
