He was a difficult guy to figure out at the best of times and she had a lot of trouble figuring out what was going through his mind at any given time. "Yeah, um, Pascal something... Her fingers brushed his knee lightly, absently reassuringly. As they pulled into the parking space at her building, she just lingered in there looking up at him for a moment before sliding across the seat to the passenger door so she could get out, reaching for one of the bags of food to carry.
