.Forgotten Prelude.| ...latent pebbles, still and unmoving. Settled dust, pleasant and unnoticed. A verdant swarth, picture of calm and peace. A fare away rumble slowly becomes present. Dormant dust awoken, as thundering hooves gallop by. Lathered equine blindly leap and dash, oculi of every single one rimmed in pallid. Valiant stallions lead their caravans amid the chaos, attempting to loose the attacker behind them. Dust clouds envelope them, lost in chaos as ropes swing and riders yell… . The chaotic world is unnoticed by a particular dyad. Two mares residing within a placid canyon abode. Stark pillars guarding of rock the duo. The two in blissful solitude, occupied solely with one another. Careless in their habits, not noticing the hidden predator of human and steed deftly and silently nearing. The ranch mount is halted, and the rider observes the duo. There, the strawberry hued little dame, the child’s dream, the legendary steed, finally found. A horse crafty and quick, ditching the cadre when danger comes, and always evading the human pursuer. Now found. Alas, but can the rider capture such a steed, or allow it to live in peace. The age-old question, brought anew every day…. |
