Alright, first with the updates. I'm sorry for being gone so long, but my parents screwed up the schedule and I didn't find out that I'd be away for an extra week until it was too late to post anything here. My characters have increased to .. *LeGasp* ..three! Go me. ;]

Sparkling Diamonds
Painted Skies
Ziggy Stardust

Oh, and I got a new IM/E-mail address: ZiggyStarr@aol.com .. I'm also on a fourteen day vacation (Woohoo!) which means I'll be around for a while. And now, for the poetry. This was done in my English class - our teacher was doing a writing exercise with us. She gave me the title and told me to work from there. I think it turned out pretty good, personally, but that's just me. It's in paragraph form, please, please, please! read and give me your feedback.

I Believe

I believe in playing pretend games at young ages. I believe in the games, too, that they're real in some other universe. I believe in prince charmings, and riding into the sunset on a white horse, even if your prince is angry, yells, and scares you sometimes. I believe in music addiction, in young americans, in long hair dyed too many colors over the years. I believe in high cheekbones, in sixtyfive pound coke addicts, in lipstick and twelve string guitars. I believe in pouring the longest glass of water anyone's ever seen for the sheer shock value of it, in seeing how far you can take something, and the dancing oogachaka baby from Ally McBeal. I believe in alter egos, in David Bowie, Ziggy Stardust, and Aladdin Sane, in leper messiahs and the Spiders from Mars. I believe in trusty swords and best friends you've never met. I believe in negatories, roger thats, Thank You Captian Obviouses, and in yelling 'Ground Control to Major Tom' at the top of your lungs. I believe in kicking people in the shins, eating crumpets and drinking tea on otherwise depressing weekends, and singing 'Magic Dance' as loud as you can with a friend, although neither of you really sound like the Goblin King anyway. I believe in eighth grade cheerleading, and naming your kids Jareth and Sandra because you can. I believe in riding horseback, in galloping through the woods like the original bat out of hell with no hands or stirrups. I believe in eating coffee ice cream on the phone with a friend in Pennsylvania, in fate, and celebrities saving lives through bizarre circumstances. I believe in steak knives, in slitted wrists, in blood and scars that won't ever heal. I believe in lightning bolts, in miracles, in mismatched eyes even if it is only a myth. I believe in barbaric YAWPs that must be capitalized when scrawled across a blackboard, and in evil Yarrs. I believe in being able to flip crystals around on your hands, in seeing your dreams reflected in those same crystals, and in dancing slowly with a masked stranger as the world falls down. I believe in leukemia because of my cousin and transverse myelitis because of my best friend. I believe in love at first sight, in the sort of love that breaks your heart into pieces, and in Moulin Rouge. I believe in the concerts in Manchester in seventy-three and in feeling nostalgic because you weren't at the concerts in Manchester in seventy-three. I believe in alcohol, and rockstars, one in particular, and I believe he'll write a song for me in my apartment one day, no matter how many strings I have to pull. I believe that the people who say they don't care really care the most of all. And I believe ain't there one damn song that can make me break down and cry.

"But I don't want to go among mad people.."
"Oh, you can't help that. We're all mad here."
