Subject: Prejudicism against native American Indians on a forum in the USA

I recently joined a forum www.TheManeStreet.com and was appalled to read that one of their members is openly expressing what amounts to hateful

and racist views. One of the posters on the forum wrote:

I marvel at our native peoples who used to ride completely bitless, with no bridles either.

The poster that I claim is offensive is called "Thomas" and he has a web site, http://www.floddenedgefarmequestriancentre.com
and he replied:
I marvel at our native peoples who used to ride completely bitless, with no bridles either.

Really??? Why?

I'm not going with any mythology that native Americans are wonderful horsemen. The evidence just doesn't substantiate that at all.

There's also a heck of a lot that ride in bits akin to barbed wire and are cack handed to boot!

The forum, as you can see, has a sizeable following. It is easily searchable on the internet under many horse topics.

I am personally offended that Native American children and horseback riders should read such a prejudiced and racist statement. The forum

owner's response was to remove one poster's reply who took offense also (I believe that her response was to call him a "prejudiced pig".

I do not know the woman who runs the forum "Laura" but you can see from the thread that there was some discussion. I read the thread, did not

comment, but I feel strongly that your organization should immediately ask the forum owner to remove the offensive comments against the

Native American horsemen and women. Perhaps the offender, Thomas, should also be admonished from further writing such hateful remarks?

I assume that he is reachable via his web site address.
