Subject: Knife question

This may sound strange, but last night I had a dream I was in a variety type shop close to Cherokee North Carolina, looking at knife's. None were the "right" one. I kept asking for a buck cherry knife. For some reason I think buck refered to the type of antler or bone that the blade was made from, and cherry was the wood used to make the handle. I also think this knife had white leather wrapping on the handle or white leather strings hanging from the handle. I think the knife was fixed blade not folding. But again I am not a knife person I have no clue... why I kept asking and looking for this particular knife all throughout my dream. My biological mother was 3/4 cherokee, so maybe that had something to do with it? dunno.... ( I was put up for adoption)

I know nothing about knives. I wanted to ask what is your opionion of this? Have you ever seen anything like I am describing or made something like this?

Any other thoughts?
