No! you are not wrong. You are however caught in the inbetween that seems to be a no mans land in this issue. I have white freinds that are doing a 17th century re-enactment of the Lenape people, and they have a great Elder that is willing to help them.
For some reason people only see one color or the other. I have also been researching my Native history and I have found some that are willing to help and some that feel I am taking something away from them by trying to understand what was lost to me as a child. The white people think I am condoning bad behavior on the part of Native people, and the Native people think I am trying to steel their Spirituality. We have to stop looking at each other with Old Eyes, we have to make a decision to stop judging people by old pasts. We are here now! Let's save Mother Earth by learning from each other.
