The bible says a number on things concerning adultery. Although it is a horrible offense against God and the spouse the one thing that is for sure is that Divorce is not the answer! The bible is very clear on the subject of divorce. Yes it does allow it, but not remarriage. The bible says the same for all sins: repent and your sins shall be forgiven. Does this person truely regret what has happened? If so then all is taken care of as for as I believe, that is with God. As far as the spouse is concerned, I'm afraid I can't give any good advice on that because not only do I not know either of the people involved but I'm also not a counsler. But if it was me and I was truely sorry I would do my best to let the other know it and how much I love them.
I hope I have helped. Feel free to leave more forum questions/comments or email us.
