All my babies were late. I think up to 2 weeks is usually no big deal as long as everything checks out Ok. My first baby the labor took too long and I had to have ptossin (spelling?!) let me tell you that stuff is like labor pains on steroids!! Really really powerful and really tough...I would say never do it unless you really need to. The contractions can be so strong that they negatively affect the baby. Here's the deal....try to let nature take its course unless there is a danger to you or the baby. The less interference by drugs etc the better...but if your doc tells you you or the baby are in trouble then you have to do what you have to do. But due dates are not carved in stone. do the nesting thing and enjoy SLEEP! you will be getting a lot less of it as soon as she is here!! LOL!
