Hi Charissa!

For Question 20, it's given that metal M will NOT react with dilute hydrochloric acid.

There are three different metals given in the options: iron, copper and calcium. The only metal here that do not react with dilute hydrochloric acid is copper.

Green solution X contains metal ion M, thus solution X is copper(II) chloride.

Solution X reacts with silver nitrate to form a white precipitate (silver chloride) confirms the presence of chloride ion.

As for Question 23,please look at the given equation and take note of ALL the state symbols!
The products are Zn2+(aq) and Fe2+(aq). There are no solids forming here, thus there are no residue.
