Subject: more qns fr prac

Hello Mr. Yeo,

Happy Belated Teachers Day... I'm sure you have a lot of gifts right?
Well, I still have some more qns from the pracs to ask you... hope you don't mind...and thanks for answering...

From prac4:
For qns no. 5
why can't the ans be B as well?

For qns 27,
why can't the ans be copper?

From prac5:
For qns35,
what is the flame used for? Why must it be introduced after the reaction has taken place for a few seconds?

As for practise 4, question 5. If you look at the number of protons and electrons given, you'll find that P is a postively charged ion (+3), whereas R is an atom (no charge). Unless R is a negatively charged ion (with a charge of -1), then answer B will be correct.

As for question 27, the answer cannot be copper because copper does not react with dilute hydrochloric acid!

As for practise 5 question 35, the flame is needed to start the reaction between hydrogen and oxygen. Otherwise, no reaction will occur.

Hope you understand what I've mentioned!
