Subject: Note!! TYS question

Hi all!

A lot of you have asked me the question in page (2)15, Question 52.

The correct answer is C.

The lid is used to prevent any magnesium oxide from escaping the crucible. When a solid is heated strongly in a crucible, there's a chance that it will 'jump' out of it. We do not want to let this happen here because we need to measure the mass of magnesium oxide formed accurately at the end of the experiment. Refer also Page 107 of "*textbook!" Experiment 6.1
