I am looking at a heavy 65' trawler, in excess of 100 tons, and powered with the 750hp 8V92's. My intention would be to run around 1000-1100 rpm, which should give me 8-9 knots. I know that unlike 4 stroke diesels, these engines need to run at higher rpm for at least part of a cruising day. Most of the time, the boat is just going to be a live aboard, especially with the current price of fuel Do you have any idea of the fuel consumption of these engines at 1000-1100rpm. Thanks
