I am so sad because you are leaving, but happy for you and all of the wonderful things that are happening for your family right now.
Doc, what can I say? You have taught me sooooo much about how to make it on Dereth, I don't know what the place will be like when you are not there. Okay, yes, I do... I'll be constantly typing "@tell Dr Goldensword," "@tell Medoc," "@tell Sparus," "@tell Radd," "@tell Mystic Al"... just in case you're there =D
Thank you for absolutely everything that you've done for me. You've been such a great friend - RL and ingame, a wonderful patron/monarch. When I needed an ear, you were there, when I had a question, you had an answer.
Soooooo many memories, so many. Lin, Thunder, High Ore Dungeon ;), Citadels, wanting to be like YOU, GSA, Atlans, SoLL, major stones. You saved my butt so many times 'cause I died somewhere and needed help! Powerleveling (especially Ilu), vassals joining and breaking, quests, just talking, Larq's loves and losses, MORNINGTHAW, Danby's Outpost, HOUSES... the list goes on and on and on....
Larq was born on August 8, 2001, just a couple days after I met you on top of the building by the lifestone. And everything that she has done since then was for you, to make you proud of her. Everything.
When you leave, Larq will be absolutely loaded to the gills and slip into permanent muledom. There are only two things that would prompt her to pop in for any fighting or questing, and that's the call of her patron and the call of Guild Goldensword (whether or not we're actually still aligned under you, no matter... as far as I'm concerned, we'll always be a guild. LOL! How's that for denial?!?). This is not to make you sad, but because I only want her progress to be a tribute to you and the Guild.
I have ABSOLUTELY NO REGRETS! Even the bad things happened and were experienced for a reason, to shape Larq - and me - for who we are. And the victories... so sweet they've been.
I do agree with Six, though. Don't delete your characters. If you need to cut ties, that's okay - as long as you email us :) But, keep your account so that, should you ever feel in the future that you want to log back in, you can. And, if you don't, that's okay, too.
As for my characters, I haven't decided what I will be doing with them yet. I'm not sure what Grey's plans are, but I know that he's spending less and less time ingame; Ilu will continue to remain sworn to him, though, until such time that he chooses to let her go. Khalani's a Blurrian. With the others, I don't know if I'll swear them in under my different selves or work them into the other guilds that I've participated in so much along the way or not. It's too early to decide that right now, though, I think.
You've been the thread that held us all together, in the guild and from other guilds...
