Hey guys,
The league site is updated with the new rosters, which are barren. There is also a new link for the KBL History, where you can find the winners of the owner choice awards.
Jeff Pajot has taken over the Fort Gibson Sand Gnats. His email is rage_pajot@mail.utexas.edu.
A few rule changes:
*Given the fact that every team lost more than half their players because I stupidly gave just 45 years of contract, I'm raising the annual allotment to 50. I went low with the initial number because I wanted there to be talent in the FA pool, but this is ridiculous.
*The incentive program for press releases is now in effect. You can get 0.5 to 2.0 points based on length. You will only get two points if it's worthy of the front page. You collect the points for contracts. .5 pts = .5 contracts. If you are curious as to what a press release is, just look at Washington's recent email smashing on his team. If you deleted it and want to know what a press release looks like, ask. The press releases can be funny, serious, about the league, about a player, about your team, about someone else's team... basically anything pertaining to the league. You can send 1 for each sim, trade, and draft. If you don't obtain at least 5 points in a season (which is VERY easy), then you'll be fired.
Idea:
Expansion. It comes around once a year, the question of expansion. I want to know what you all think about it. It'd be double the current team count, to 28. We wouldn't, repeat WOULDN'T, re - draft. There'd be a protection method where you'd keep the majority of the players on your current roster. This wouldn't take place until the end of the 2002 season. Please let me know your thoughts. Participation needs to increase, folks. It's worth .5 pts to send your thoughts.
Draft:
The draft order is on the website, as is the pool. New York has the initial pick and we'll be doing the draft via message board on the website. You have 1 day to make your pick or else you'll be skipped. Please try not to use the entire day, but it is summer and I know people are out a lot, so you are allowed a day. You can send a list to me. Any picks sent by email will be disregarded. New York, you're on the clock, NOW! =)
