*The mother, sitting in the passenger seat, smiles and rolls down the window, beconning her daughter forward for a hug and kiss.*

*Afterwards, the teenaged girl looks at her dad who, in a deep voice, speaks.* "Be good."

*She nods, then smiles and backs away, waving.* I will.

*As the car turns to leave her, Whitney turns away, long light brown hair sweeping against her back, and rolls her eyes, muttering to herself silently in her head as she walks up the gravel path toward the cabin.*
