"No...that's all right. My family was in a high position in our old village when the village came into turmoil. A revolt broke out started by the peasants. During one night, they decided to burn the houses of the high-ranking officers. I had lain awake reading Utopia, when I heard some noises. I then smelled the faint smell of smoke. I ran out my bedroom and saw the north end of our house was ablaze. I could not reach them in time.....I decided to leave before anyone realized I had survived." Vallah opened her battered suitcase and pulled out a sooty book. "This is all I have left from home....It keeps me going." Vallah placed it back in it's compartment and closed the suitcase. Vallah gazed out the window into the inky blackness of the night. "My brother was just about to be knighted....He was so excited. He was going to grow up to be just like his father. Sir Jotham....it has a nice ring to it, dosen't it!!" Vallah lifted the blanket up and slipped under them, pulling them up tight.
