Subject: Unofficial Star Wars Galaxies PvP Servers!

-ATTENTION ALL PVP PLAYERS-

Star Wars Galaxies will be released in Q1 2003. An initial list of 20 server names (Galaxies) has been released by Sony/ LucasArts as of November 15th, 2002. It has been officially stated that there will be no PvP servers or other special rules servers. PvP will be supported on all servers, just as was the case with Ultima Online in 1997. SWG will launch with two server farms, one for the West Coast (San Diego), the other East Coast (Northern Virginia).

There is a homegrown player movement underway to encourage PvPers to concentrate on two servers, one for each coast, in order to maximize warfare action. Each server/galaxy will support 3500+ players online at a time.

Active participants on the official SWG Developer's Discussion Board have selected galaxies Bloodfin (East) and Valcyn (West) as the two "unofficial" PvP servers. This effort is being coordinated at www.swgpvp.com which will become a full blown website devoted to SWG PvP and the coverage of the two servers once more information is released by the SWG developers.

If your guild will play or is considering playing SWG, your help is needed to spread the word to friends and enemies alike. While some fear SWG will be an "Everquest in Space" type of game and it will attract tons of carebears, we feel that if the PvP community can concentrate enough players on two servers, we can make something fantastic of the game. Early indications are that SWG will have outstanding PvP mechanics, and the pure skill-based system will be similar to that of Ultima Online, only far more complex. SWG is the true spiritual successor to UO. Only time will tell, but keep an open mind!

Building momentum now for concentrating on specific servers is **crucial** and your cooperation and assistance will make the difference!

Star Wars Galaxies is now in Beta 2, which is under tight NDA still. Beta 3 will begin just after January 1st, and the NDA will be lifted, with Live! launch perhaps in February or March.
