Boy do I understand! But it will make things a LOT simpler with the VA loan. Hubby had a "voluntary repossesion" about 5 years ago. He didn't know at the time that was what was going on. He was about to leave out for a 6 month deployment and was going to buy a new vehicle when he got back, so he didn't want to pay for something while he was gone that he wasn't going to keep. The bank told him that he could turn it back in to them and owe nothing and he thought that was a great idea! Years later he finds out it was a repossesion. Then since we've been married, we've paid off 4 or so outstanding bills that he's left open over the past few years (I think there is still one out there) totalling over $3000. Needless to say, I handle the money now! And his credit has never looked better. I'm thinking that the mortgage company also had everything bad taken off his credit, but I"m not sure. That might happen for you! Good luck when it does happen!

love
=)
