Something would want to make it grow faster, it really hasn't grown much at all. I think he's going to be bald when he grows up; he's practically bald at the front now! As for hubby, he didn't seem to notice, but when he does he will probably just tease me endlessly. Maybe I should try your idea, it couldn't do any harm, and his hair needs something to make it grow!
