Author: Blade
Subject: Cutting Edge Productions

(The bloody razor symbol drags across the TV screen as another one of Blade's short movie productions begins. The scene starts out with a tired looking business man, wearing a dark gray suit, leaving his office building in a busy downtown neighborhood. There is soft classical music playing in the background as the man hurries down the buildings steps. As he reaches the last step he drops his briefcase and it bursts open. The brisk wind scatters the papers all over the sidewalk and the busy intersection.)

oh fuck it all!! (the man screams not even bothering to pick up his papers. He halfheartedly kicks the briefcase across the sidewalk. The camera zeros in on one particular paper that is floating around the corner of the building. The camera turns the corner following the paper, which has now landed on the sidewalk that is littered with pedestrians. A gruff looking bulk of a man wearing a black trenchcoat steps onto the paper as he moves along on his way. Cameras are now zooming in on the paper and you can see the mans footprint and some writing on the paper. Just as the writing begins to come into focus a gust of wind carries the paper away, spiraling it towards a city park.)

(Two young boys are running through the park, chasing squirrels, they look like complete opposites. One is well clothed and clean, except for a black eye, the other dirty and dressed rather poorly)

Hey Zach do you want to come eat at my house tonight?(the clean looking boy asks)

(shyly and kind of nervously, the second boy responds) I would but I gotta get home and clean my room.

Allright seeya later, (Zach runs off, the second boy begins to leave the park but then he notices the peice of paper which has blown against a bench. He bends over to pick it up and studies it for a few seconds with a weird expression on his face and then crumples it up and sticks it into his pocket. As he takes off for home, he never even notices the man in the black trenchcoat who has been silently watching him.)

(As the screen fades to black the music changes from the mellow classical piano to a song by the Murderdolls)

(The second boy is making his way into a small house that looks like it is in dire need of some repairs, he walks into the kitchen where a rather homely looking women is cooking something.)

Hi mom, (gives the woman a big hug) Can you read this to me? I found it in the park (he pulls the crumpled up paper out of his pocket and gives it to his mom. She takes the paper and straightens it out and begins to speak but before a sound can come out of her mouth a look of horror crosses her face and she lets out a peircing scream)

(The first boy, Zach has just reached his house, which is in the nice part of town. He opens the door and is greeted by his father)

Have you been playing with that Palmer boy again??? (His dad scowls) You know he's trash, you know his whole family is trash and we're better than that. I've told you to stay away from him one too many times, come with me.

B-b-but dad, please dont (Zach pleads, but its to no avail, his dad drags him into the fenced in backyard and proceeds to beat his young son. Zach is screaming for his dad to stop but soon his screams turn into screams of pain. After a few moments his father turns to go inside as his son lays there, blood trickling from his mouth. On the sidewalk in front of the house stands the man in the trenchcoat, shaking his head gently.)

(The scene once again fades as a new song begins, when the picture comes back we see a man slowly swinging from some rafters in a dusty attic. There is a chair laying on its side below him. The man is wearing a dark gray business suit.)

(We are know back at the Palmer household, where the young boy is standing next to his mother, who sits at the kitchen table weeping softly. We see the paper in front of her. On the paper there are four things. Two crude drawings, 4 words, and a footprint. The first drawing is a stick figure laying on the ground with blood around the mouth. The second drawing is a sketch of what looks like a hangman game that was lost, then there were the words: BEWARE OF THE MADNESS, cameras pull of the paper as the front door slams. The man in the trenchcoat comes in and hugs his wife as the scene fades.)
