Author: James "Da Maniac" Jones
Subject: Inside Out

- It took a while. Five days, to be exact. But finally, James Jones has sorted himself out. Maybe it was the Promos from others. Or the words of wisdom from his trainer. That can't be determined. But none the less, The Unified Champion was back to himself. This is confirmed as James comes into picture. "Da Maniac" has shaved, the bags from under his eyes are no longer in existence. And most importantly; James Jones is strong, both mentally and physically. Today he is standing up against an old building. Abandoned. All windows are smashed; with little to no glass left in what once had been a complete pane. The wind blew strongly against his face, the air cool. To many it may have been a day cold enough to stay indoors, but for James, this was as near as he got to tranquility. The wind kept him refreshed. The cold air felt like it was there only to help Jones along his way, though he didn't really understand why. It was his way of life. Jones was dressed familiarly. The black cloak, draping down past his knees, with the clenched fist of steel on the back of it. The black Maniac On The Loose t-shirt. And the faded black jeans. Overworn. Jones adjusted his finger-free black gloves, getting them as comfortable as possible. The belts hung proudly on his shoulders, each one making itself known in the otherwise dull surroundings. -

- James walked for a moment or two around the building, admiring it's size and design. It was more like a small mansion rather than just an old building. Jones' footsteps crunched on the gravel and dirt that was the ground loudly. He had his shades on, and was chewing, even gnawing on some gum. "Da Maniac" didn't know what impressed him more. The fact that some rich bastard had built this gem of a house in the first place, or how it still looked so beautiful, even with the broken windows and lack of maintenance. His breath was seen in the air, showing just how cold it was. -

[ MANiAC ] "For some men, lyin' is the only way that they can make steps forward. If they should speak the truth, then they shall only progress backward. It's a society that's cruel, and so hard to get by in that lyin' is the only solution for many of those who are part of it. The Crusher is a prime example. Claims he has never tasted failure. That all he's ever done is lost some battles, but never lost a war. The thing is; Crusher doesn't even know what the hell a war is. A war is somethin' that is prolonged; it lasts for months, years, perhaps it never ends. The result is always that one side leaves; permanently, never to be seen again. How does this relate to Crusher? It simply says to me; Crusher is a liar. He's never been involved in a war in the MCW. He has never fought the same person over a long period of time -- stretchin' to at least two months of battles. In which case leads to the fact that he has never WON a war, as he has not been involved in any. So my summary of The Crusher continues to worsen, with the then realisation that Crusher HAS tasted failure as, like he said himself, he HAS lost battles. Battles are all that he has been involved in. Despite what he believes; he did not drive Heron out of the MCW so long ago. Heron left by his own free will as he could not handle the heat. Another LIE. Damn it, this Crusher fellow is quite the liar some may say...TOO RIGHT. He also claims that he will never taste failure. You know, it's times like this I wish I had let my hair grow longer so I could pull it to shreds to relieve complete and utter anger sustained from liars. This is how Crusher furthers his pitiful career from an obvious mid-carder to an undeservin' main-eventer. Well I'll put things right for Crusher. As I have in the past, and shall continue to do so, startin' on Saturday Night at Halloween Horror."

- "Da Maniac" had kept walking as he had talked. He was now back to where he had first been, on the East side of the house. Jones finally realises there is graffiti on the side of the wall of the house, and nods his head, impressed by the beauty. But his attention in an instant snaps back to his Promo. -

[ MANiAC ] "Crusher, look at me. Does this face look like one that has been respected over the years? Over the twenty-six months that it's been here; do you think this face has been given the right level of respect that it so dearly deserves? Boy, think again. Never have I been given what I deserved. Not when I held the Unified Title for seven straight months, nor when the Dark Alliance were IN CHARGE of the MCW, nor when D.R.E - Deadly.Reality.Enterprises ruled over the tag-team division. And you have the balls to come out of your hole and demand more credit and respect at Halloween Horror? F*ck you Crusher. If you think I've worked so damned hard for this company for over two years just to bow down to people like you; you'd better re-group and think through your thoughts. I've never been treated correctly, and because of that, I treat everyone the same way. No one, not one person, he could be a Hall Of Famer, or a rookie who has yet to win a match. You get the point Crusher, I don't think I need to go off and on a tangent in order to further my point to a point where it's drilled into your skull, if you would pardon the pun."

[ MANiAC ] "What I find most hilarious about your two separate Promos is how they contradict themselves. In one Promo you show me a tape of when Enigma returned and used you as the example durin' a fight with me, where I ended up defeatin' you. You say that you were screwed over that night. Then, just the next Promo comes, and you're talkin' and gloatin' about the time when you took the World Title away from me and literally handed it to Rage by attackin' me when I fought him. My advice to you is grow a longer and more compact memory span, so you don't make yourself look like a complete fool. You do not have the right to come out on screen and complain about bein' cheated if you then turn around and show when you yourself cheated others. And you're the new franchise name? Is that why I'm the one who's draggin' the MCW, slowly, ever so slowly up to the top of the WeWA? Is that why it's me who has his name heard throughout the WeWA and federations involved in it? 'Cause YOU'RE the franchise? Gimme a goddamn break, Crusher. Boy, if you were our Franchise name, you'd first have to rid the MCW of Scott Cross, The Fallen, Enigma and I. Don't make yourself out to be somethin' you're not Crusher, 'cause if you do, you're in for one helluva wake up call."

- James smiles a little at the camera, loving every second of the wind blowing against his face, and making his hair sway, almost like the branches of a tree. He allows a moment of silence to let his words sink in to anyone that is listening. He hoped Crusher would. He hoped that Crusher would listen very carefully. -

[ MANiAC ] "In theory Crusher, you're right; nothin' is impossible. In practice, there are many things are impossible. I'm not goin' to stand here like a scientist and list 'em out to you; they're all common sense. The impossible task that you're left with is takin' me off my throne. A month and a half I've sat now. Sure, I've been battered and bruised through that time, hell, even defeated. But I'm still here. Defeat does not occur in my life regularly. Then again I say, what's the f*ckin' point in sayin' this stuff? You're next Promo will just be the reverse of what I'm sayin' now, like your last one, and the one before that. Listen and admire, Crusher. Admire the true beauty of common logic. It involves a bit of cop-on, and the ability to keep one's eyes open at all time. Unfortunately, you do not seem to be able to understand and use common logic. Sayin' you shall beat me is not logic; - It's damn well stupidity. Oh, but I'm sorry...you refuse to lose you say? You refused to lose on the 24th of August at Main Events, yet, even with your buddy Scott Cross helpin' out, you lost. Lethal Lottery is another example. Despite the circumstances, you lost to me. So don't think that I'll even blink when you utter those words of refusin' to lose. By now it's a sayin' that's be contradicted a hundred times and been dragged through the mud. Come up with somethin' else, eh? Maybe then will I actually listen to you and take you seriously."

[ MANiAC ] "Drink all the fluids you want to Crusher prior to our fight on Saturday. Hell, drink so much that you might even piss yourself in fear of the harsh reality that awaits you once you awake from your illusion of your perfect world. Drinkin' water and runnin' on tread-mills won't make an iota of a different. They won't help, nor will they effect you. You pondered on somethin' interestin' though, Crusher. Somethin' to do with givin' out about my attitude towards the MCW's success or lack of in the WeWA. When I said we were second to the BACW, I meant each word. In your eyes, the fact that we're the most hardcore of the federations automatically means we're the best? And hold on there a second Crusher...somethin's comin' back to me. You say that I should have a different attitude? Wasn't it you who, only a few short months ago was on the verge of goin' to John Hartman's WWW? Whatever happened there, Crusher? No, no, you didn't change your mind -- WWW just folded, which gave you an excuse that you weren't goin' anywhere. Did anyone believe you? HA. Think again, boy. So before you come out on camera and condemn me for bein' realistic; look in the goddamned mirror and ask yourself some things. And just remember what that pretty little face of yours looks like, Crusher. Because I plan on erasin' ANY beauty off it on Saturday night. A threat? Definitely. But unlike yours, it's much more realistic."

- James squats down on his honkers, eyes still directly aimed at the camera. The wind had died down slightly, though it was most definitely still there. The cold air kept "Maniac" feeling refreshed, as he looked to his MCW World Title belt, pointing at it momentarily. -

[ MANiAC ] "Scott Cross...I'm brought to you. I search for sympathy? That's news to me, boy. As far as I can remember, when I was in a right state just days ago, I did not once even CONTEMPLATE receivin' sympathy - I merely was not in a right state of mind. The loss did in fact strike fear into me. It did not make me fear anyone in particular and make me weak, but it made me realise how easy it could be to lose both the WWS and MCW Titles in an instant. With a click of a finger I could go from everythin', to nothin', all from bein' screwed with. I'm sure you can distinguish the difference now, Cross, between what you believed and what was the truth. But no Cross...you took one step too far. Never once have I befouled the MCW brand or name in any way. At times, yes, I've deemed the belts to be worthless in comparison to the WeWA Title and the FedWars Title, possessed by two BACW wrestlers - Lee Riel and Eddy Outlaw respectively. I won't take away from the truth Scott, I always want more in order to propel my career into first gear. If that's s'posed to be greedy, then yeah, I am greedy and I won't try and hide that. If that's a fault, then I too have another flaw. But the titles DO mean somethin' to me. Otherwise I never would have been in the state I was followin' last Saturday night. In fact, I really want to prove this to you...so ask yourself one question; Would I be in the MCW at all if the Titles meant absolutely sweet f*ck-all to me? I think not, wouldn't you agree Scotty? I'm goin' to go the whole nine yards now Scotty and say that this seems to be your only form of attack -- Verbal abuse. You lost to The Crusher, in which case means you're not the one fightin' me at Halloween Horror. But you can't get your head 'round that Cross, can you? You can't accept that on a night you were second best. No excuses, unlike last Saturday. And because you cannot accept it, you've got nothin' else to do to get at me currently that shout verbal abuse at me. If it's you that I face followin' the pay-per-view, then I'll reserve a special, private room in the hospital for you."

[ MANiAC ] "Somethin' got to me Cross in your last Promo in a dark room. You told Fallen that you were in peat condition -- I cannot argue that point. The next comment made me wonder does anyone at all listen to me, or do I just talk for the sake of talkin'. You said that word about yourself -- perfection. Have you been payin' heed to my Promos, Scott? If you were, you would not have used the word in order to further the point of how good you are. Like I've said before; there are flaws everywhere and in everyone. Nothin', or no one has been or ever will be perfect. There is a flaw in you, in me, in Capitalism, in wealth...in EVERYTHIN'. In which case means the word 'perfection', is not entirely true. How do we know what perfection is, if there's no such thing? Scott, you're a great fighter, even an excellent one, but you're not perfect. Don't eat my head off, it's a fault in not just you, but in every single person that has breathed in and out. Scott, whether it is you or indeed The Fallen that I face after Halloween Horror, keep in mind one thing -- Nothin' is flawless...and your flaws are the only that I shall take you apart, both mentally and physically. Until you drop to your knees, weakened by the battle, and the Phenomenon takes over. And maybe then..."

- James takes a step back, backing himself up against the wall deliberately and pointing his fingers in the shape of a gun to his temple. -

[ MANiAC ] "...shall there be justice for all."

- Jones raises his head as if he just shot a bullet out of his imaginary gun. "Da Maniac" begins to chuckle. A slow, but meaningful one that echoes through the area. And then just like that, the camera fades out, and we're greeted into the world of nothingness. -

STATIC.

Die!

I gave in to
The stress in life
I can't escape
The pressure seems to get me down

It's like a needle in my spine
It stings inside
Poisons me with time
I can't deal with your lies

I wish I could watch you drown and die
And take my time
(Lies)
It's always been a problem, can't you see?
I don't get
(Your lies)

People have said (They have said)
I'm not okay (I'm not okay)
I lost my mind, numb me 'til I won't feel pain again

It's like a needle in my spine
It stings inside
Poisons me with time
I won't deal with your lies

I wish I could watch you drown and die
And take my time
(Lies)
It's always been a problem, can't you see?
I don't get
(Your lies)

Life is gone
I have no one
Life is good
I am no one

Life is gone
I have no one
Life is scarred
I am no one

Life is gone
I have a lie

Something, something inside of my mind
Let it all go and tie me to your fight
Nothing is real inside, just the lies
Something keeps building you high with lies

I wish I could watch you drown and die
And take my time
(Lies)
It's always been a problem, can't you see?
I don't bend
(The lies)

I wish I could watch you drown and die
And take my time
(Lies)
It's always been a problem, can't you see?
I don't bend.
