{Species Description: They are somewhat humanoid in appearance, though smaller. With a light coating of pale fur, they have horselike ears in about the same place as human ones. Their eyes are usually of a light color also and are very keen. They have long, powerful tails. Being naturally predatory, they are physically very well-equipped: long talon-like claws extend from their small, delicate fingers and their teeth are sharp and deadly. When in the company of other species or doing tasks that require dexterity, they wear thin, pliable gloves of strong, durable leather to cover those claws. On their fur, they have nearly-invisible tigerlike stripes of a color very similar to their coat. For instance, a white shykna will have pale cream stripes. They have emotions and personalities just as varied as those of humans, but they express them in ways that are, to humans, quite subtle- just the twitch of a tail or the movement of the ear, or change of size of the pupils speak reams to a shykna. They read even the smallest of body language of one another or humans with ease.
Shykna are very trusting among their own species and have few secrets. But they are quiet and reserved when it comes to other sentient life forms, until they truly get to know them.
Their relationships are much like those of humans- a similar family structure, although their romance is much simpler and involves less lying and games. They are accepting of opposite or same sex couplings, for they feel it does not matter.}

Weapon of Choice: Two tiny, silver pistols that can shoot any number of things from lasers to grappling hooks.

{Ship Description: A small cruiser, mainly blue interior design, new but somewhat battered. It is a military ship and equipped with decent shields and unreliable laser missiles. There is sleeping room for four shykna.}

Personality: Kyne is pragmatically disregardant of the rules. She breaks laws when it suits her and does what she likes. Intelligent, quiet, and keen, she subtly influences lives around her and is often the one asked for support and advice. Sharply cynical, she wins debates with her smooth, thought-out logic.
Yet beneath that exterior is an utterly unpredictable, undependable creature who truly depends on none.
Background Story: Aiding in an assasination of a major political leader on her home planet, she is necessarily a fugitive from the law. When the signal was given, all the conspirators left the planet or went into hiding as swiftly as possible. Kyne chose the route of leaving the planet, but discovered that her starship had been disabled because the Authorities recognized it was hers. In her practical casualness with law, she stole the starship Falkyn and made off with it and her comrade Enam.
