If you don't mind my asking...
as I'm only intrigued with knowledge of this disorder from first hand sources.
Like, to what extent is the obsessive portion of the disorder.
What is done that is so obsesseive?
Writing alot of poetry, or eating alot of food?
Just curious.

I too suffer from depression. I've had it since 4th grade and just recently got help a year ago when I was 21. I had to be put on meds also.

In addition to the depression which did put suicide in my mind, I suffered from anxiety. Wow, that's what the world needs, an anxious depressive!!

Fortuneately, I never did anything to harm myself because I am also a coward for pain. lol!

I hope that you get through better than most people with this have.

I interpreted the poem without knowing the author... You know that some literary professors do the same thing to poems written a century ago. I had a teacher trying to teach us that Moby Dick was a Christian story and that everything had religious symbolism. So much for the church and state thing. I didn't do good in that class because I am of no religion.

Good luck to all, and keep on writing. That is my release.
