The tree was being thrashed
like a dirty old mop.
I cried to the wind,
"Please, oh, please STOP!"

It never heard me,
it just raged on.
Temporarily insane,
and then it was gone.

The top of the tree
was now at the base.
It got broken arms from a
wild goose chase.

The home in the tree,
well, it used to be mine.
I can build a nest
any 'ol time.

My life now balances
on the head of a pin.
Finding another tree
will be no Cardinal sin.

i just now learned how to post on this site lol
you have to 'approve' before returning to main board. i never knew that! ok, so im slow....
anyway, i love this poem! i think i remember it... maybe form the realm?
well either way, it was cute. the title leads you to believe it is going to be about something completely different.
