The Real Me

I try very hard to do what's right,
But sometimes when I'm tempted, I lose the fight.

It's true I don't do everything I should,
But can you please show me somebody who could?

You look at me, and what do you see?
Can you look past my imperfections and really see me?

When it comes to school, so maybe I'm dumb.
But is that all there is to me? Definitely not.

I do my best, and help the team,
But the person they care about is not even me.

You're not my friend, I'm here to use.
What if one time, I decide to refuse?

When you look at me, what do you see?
Can look past my talents and see the real me?
