Subject: Bowled Over

Hoary Old Anecdote Time:

In a freak coincidence some years ago, legend of stage and screen Garrold Proberts and pop musician Dhillion Stitch (of The Medicine Sunday fame) bumped into one another (not literally) literally in a Leicester Bowling Temple. Both suitably embarrassed at spotting the other wearing such unfashionable footwear, witnesses claim that they spent their 5 minute conversation trying to convince each other that they were not actually there willingly, but were there for this one time only, and would never have gone if it wasn't for the company they keep. Funnily enough, The Company We Keep is the title of the forthcoming new album by The Medicine Sunday, which funnily enough contains the track Blue Bowling Ball Blues, a jazz funkout track which over extends both it's welcome and the weak metaphor upon which the lyric is based. Proberts (last seen as Man In Cafe - The Bill episode 156) has always strenuously denied any links to Leicester's large bowling community, but has been seen in Glenfield Magna Parva Londis corner shop with a large bowling ball shaped bag containing a personalised bowling ball on his way to MegaStegaBowl in Wigston Fields. Proberts is now in his late 40s. Stitch, although born in the same year, remains in his 30s.
