Abikin, being in the center of a horse-breeding area, has horses for sale very cheaply. A simple riding horse is 1 mithril. This will bolt in combat, and is not VERY fast. A packhorse is 2 mithril, is slower, will bolt, but can carry more. A light warhorse is 3 mithril, won't bolt, is very fast, but can't carry much more than a human and his weapons. A medium warhorse is 4 mithril, won't bolt, and is designed to withstand the direct impact of a lance with the enemy. The heavy warhorse is 5 mithril, very large, can carry a human in full plate mail and his weapons, as well as its own plate mail barding, and withstands direct lance impacts very well.

Different items will cost different amounts in different areas. The Principality is small, and Abikin is a major trading city, so Abikin prices are considered to the the norm. EVERYTHING is expensive in the city of Ilo. Armor and weapons is well-made with varying costs in Dwarven Hill, much more expensive in the Elven Kingdom, and very cheap and poor in the Crac'anian Empire (They mass produce their armor, and most of what you buy is second hand, and used to be in the hands of a soldier). MOST DMs will allow you to make trips to the marketplace in foreign tourneys, and in extended tourneys, this may indeed lead to another quest.
