Susan,
I'm sorry you're struggling with more pain. It really makes life rough when it hits us so bad.

What a thoughtful hubby!!! Massage is the only thing that really makes a big impact on my pain levels, especially my headaches. I haven't been able to afford to go for a long long time now. I hope you enjoy it. If the massage therapist is experienced with FMS you won't have to tell them much. Likewise if they are sensitive to their clients they won't need much direction. But if the person you're going to hasn't has experience with FMS patients just take a few minutes and tell them about your pain and about FMS. Then while he/she is working on you don't ever be afraid to say you want more pressure or less pressure, or less time on one area or more time somewhere else. A good therapist will work with you and want to make you feel better, which is why most of them go into this line of work anyway.

Massage can be healing even with no pressure, just a like touch. So go soon, relax and enjoy!

(((hugs)))
Alison
