Feeling this was not the time for her usual sarcasm, she returns the warm smile. She glances at the newly Impressed pairs exit, wishing with all her heart she would leave the sands with a Weyrmate. Noticing the other's outstretched hand, she extends her own tanned hand, and gives Arkia's a firm shake. "Hatchings are wonderful." Her smile fades slightly, amber eyes staring at the eggs in a thoughtful manner. "I hope I'm not too late!" At the other's remark about the Hatching being up to the Eggs, she nods. "Yes, it is. I hope one of the Eggs chooses me..." She trails off, hoping she sounds positive, for her insides were consumed with sinking dread that she wouldn't Impress. "Anyway, the name's Astra. Best of luck!" She returns politely, eyes flickering in the direction of the girl's brother. He looked about as nervous as she felt. That brought a small grin to her sheet-pale face, and then her attention drifts back to the Eggs, and the wish she had nurtured all her life: To become a dragonrider.
