Making a face at the brew of klah, he pours himself a glass of chilled fruit-juice. "Love Eastern," he murmurs, thanking Faranth for letting him Impress in a Weyr on the Southern Continent. Sipping the tasty drink, he piles a meal onto a platter and seats himself. "Everything's deserted," he observes, grey eyes finally taking note of the disuse of the Tables. "Well, it has been Threadfall." Talking to himself seems to relax the weyrling-turned-rider, seeing as his Chanuth is snoring. Then, M'taen sets single-mindedly to eating.
