Lady Skandra stared in shcok at the woman. "You must be mad! It must be changeable! How, I say, how, can I live with my daughter being a wretched dragonrider! Everyone with common sense can see that we could protect ourselves just fine on Pern with flamethrowers! Come, Kuth, if Henrya wants to go on to this wretched life, or H'rya or something dreadful that you'll change her name to, that's her problem!" Lady Skandra stalked off, but Kuth smiled and gave a sign of encouragement to Henrya before leaving.

[[Note: I don't expect Henrya to have her name changed; Skandra's just being typically ignorant :)]]
