Subject: The two new Canidates step onto the Sands.

The young man looks around, taking in everything with his grey eyes. Reverently, he steps forward, approaching the clutch. Time seems to stop....

Even young Perin senses it, as the orange-haired boy comes to a complete stop, staring around in astonishment. "It's... not at all what I expected," the youth says quietly. In all his 16 Turns, Perin has never seen anything as amazing and wonderful as a clutch as dragon eggs.

"What did you expect?" Kenar retorts, coming to a stop. He slaps the lad on the back, sending him tumbling forward. Then he looks up again, brushing blond-brown hair from his eyes. "To tell the truth, I'm a little amazed too," he admits quietly.
