Forgetting his surroundings and everything else around him, he steps forward to cradle the head of his new lifemate. "We wouldn't want you to do that now, would we? Are you all right?"

HUNGRY!! The largish hatchling creels, toppling forward with an alarming volume of red in his eyes. He play nips at the boy's arm with a wry grin mixed in and G'ster smiles affectionately. Thinking suddenly of the solitary form in the stands he turns to lock eyes with his little brother.

"I have to feed him, I'll be back for you."

"It's okay, brother, I want to watch more hatchings." The pitch in his voice reaches a high note, and it is almost an imperceptible sob on Lathrop's part. It was good to see his brother Impress, and he couldn't wish it on anyone better. A wave is directed to the new pair, and as he watches them leave he heaves a heavy sigh, his head sinking down to his knees in something like despair.
