Ulepran's approach is confident, his smile is only partially nervous and he bows to the Queen and Weyrlady with the ease of practice. He turned too the eggs and noted with a pleased eye that the eggs were fewer than they had been. Brushing his dark hair away from his face, he steps towards one of the larger eggs, a reverant expression on his face. Are you a bronze? I hope you are a bronze, and that you chose me. It would be a great honor. And I think I would like a bronze. He moves among the closer bunches, the eggs were worriingly small, and they seemed almost starved. Like they could wait no longer until hatching. Waiting hopefully for Candidates, and lifemates. Or death. He shuddered at that realization. What a terrible alternative. And Pern needed them so badly! What a terrible alternative...He winced at that thought, circling thorugh the eggs once more, nervously, confidently, and hopefully most of all.
