Subject: Akema bursts into her brother's room.

"Teagan!" she shouts. Wista, perched on her shoulder, lets out a loud chirp.

Teagan looks up. "I'm right here, you don't have to yell," he tells her. Kestor chirps back at Wista, and the two firelizards flutter over to the mantlepiece and start chttering at each other.

Akema glances at them and giggles, the sits down on the bed by her brother. "Teagan, there's a clutch on the Igen Hatching Sands! Do you want to go and try out as Canidates?" There is a strange, almost desperate sparkle in her eyes.

He raises an eyebrow. "Me? I thought you were the one who wanted to Impress." But he cannot hide the flicker of longing that crosses his face.

She grabs his arm and hauls him to his feet. "Come on, Teagan. Pack, we're heading to Igen Wyer!" She calls Wista back to her shoulder and bounds out the door.

Teagan rolls his eyes, then grins. He shoves a few things into his bag, and call Kestor. With the brown perched on his arm, he races after Akema.
