It was pretty long, too...I'll condense it quickly: BIC: Terra steps back with the leg that was being kicked at, putting her into a traditional kendo stance, with weight equally balanced on each leg. She then "tsugiaches" forward (a shuffle move, but it's pretty quick. It moves forward without taking a step, so if you start with the right leg forward, it stays forward.) She then attempts to throw a punch at Kia's back, aiming straight down at the spine with an open palm. All of this happens in the course of about 2 seconds, realistically. -- Forest of Alistra

I've taken a bunch of kendo and fencing classes, and a hint of judo and sheito-ryu.

I hope it shows!

Terra is a bare hand fighter, and in her history she used to make a living off of fighting people.

I was really looking forward to seeing how this turns out, but I've looked up and it looks like 2nd watch is over, so I think I'll be disappearing soon...

As soon as Kia felt her kick miss she started to roll but before she could complete the roll Terra's downward thrust caught her on the right shoulder (in the front). Kia was forced to the ground but she quickly recovered, rolled again and got to her feet. She is now on the side of Terra. Kia attempts to hit Terra in the stomach.
