OOC: In fairness, I know diddly-squat about hand to hand. I've done mostly swordsmanship, with a hint of judo. Most of what I'm writing is stuff that I've seen my sensei (teacher) do. The rest is stuff I'm just making up. Whee! BIC: Terra relaxes her stomach as much as possible and takes the hit, exhaling as she is struck to soften the blow. She then grabs Kia's...arm? leg? Normally she can wait hours for the opponent to move first, but she was eager to get some serious practice. Easing one toe forward, she begins to advance within striking range. Watching her move is kind of disturbing. She walks like water, taking one brief step and then gliding back into position in smooth and continuous motion. The effect is quite hypnotic.
