Halden smiled before he began. "here is my riddle so listen close . what can take you over a mountain, and under it, over the sea, and under it. what can take you back in time and foward to the future. yet never move you from where you stand" halden waited for the dragon's reply.

The dragon smiled amused 'Not books. We have stories and legends passed on from one generation to the next. Of course they are always changed in the passing and portions are forgotten but a great deal of them are remembered,' Slanver sat back on his haunches in an unthreatening manner 'You need not worry. Though I guessed your riddle I have no intention of killing or eating you. You may leave when you choose but if you'd like you may stay and talk with me. It's been a while since I've spoken.' to tell you the truth i've never talked to a dragon. those in the colony hold themselves to only talking to their owners unless they have to do otherwise. -- halden, 17:34:35 01/01/05 Sat
OOC: I just realized how dead Haaden's been. BIC: Haaden nodded in agreement, "I remember when I was little I used to sneak into the room where the dragons were kept and just hope that one of them would come and talk to me" Slanver smiled, "I have no owner. Nor do I plan to ever get one. I'm not saying it won't happen but I don't plan on it. If I were ever mastered by a human I think I would still talk to others," Slanver said. "that seems not very fair. human's are quite daft, at least a lot of them are. i can't believe a dragon being brought to a human's level. does it happen automatically, or does the human cause it. -- halden, 21:54:03 01/06/05 Thu
'I think it's a bit of both really. We dragons feel some emotion already but when we are conquered by a human something changes. I'm not entirely sure what as I haven't bee tamed but I've seen some of the fiercest dragons become perfectly tame after it happens. Others seem to mellow out some but retain a part of their wild nature. It may be that we gain an ability to learn from what the human does.' Slanver replied. (NT) -- Slanver, 05:07:30 01/07/05 Fri
